Wigan Evening Post

  • Six nights a week the popular Wigan Evening Post rolls hot off the presses with bang up-to-date news and sports stories. Our evening newspaper has been doing its job since the 1950s, first under the name of the Wigan Post and Chronicle. If it happens today, then it's in the Wigan Evening Post. And it's not just news and sport we bring you - there's competitions, entertainment, tv listings, a comprehensive what's on guide, gossip and much, much more.

Wigan Observer

  • The grand old lady in our stable is the Wigan Observer, set up in 1853 by the then postmaster of Wigan. But don't let the word 'old' fool you. The Tuesday Observer is bang up to date with news, features and photographs and also runs special, highly praised competitions and campaigns. The paper was family owned until 1966 when it was bought by a national newspaper organisation anxious to share in the success.

Wigan Reporter

  • The 'baby' of the pack is the highly popular Wigan Reporter, which arrived on all our doorsteps in the 1980s. This powerful free newspaper has galloped from strength to strength over the years and is a highly effective vehicle for both news and advertising. Featuring a huge motors section the Wigan Reporter is delivered to more than 60,000 homes across the length and breadth of the borough.
